Youth Program:

 

Wimpy Kid

Tuesday, April 30, 5:30 – 7:30 pm at the Founders Community Center come and create your own story.  Love the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series?  We will explore the characters as well as play games focusing on the popular book series. Each child will walk away with their own personally created diary.  Watch out that you don’t end up with the cheese touch!  Age: 5 – 10  Fee: $25/NR $30

Karate Kids

This class introduces young children to the martial arts.  Participants will learn and develop basic karate skills, techniques and principles.   Through a variety of fun activities, children will improve motor skills, physical fitness, and gain confidence.

Karate

Students learn basic and advanced traditional karate skills – katas, sparing, and self-defense.  Individuals and families participate in this class.  This is a great opportunity to do something with your child(ren)!   In the Beginner Level, you may earn a White, Yellow, and Green Belt.  In the Advanced Level, you may earn a Blue, Purple, Brown, and Black Belt.

Adult Program:

 

Microsoft Office Excel 2010: Level 1

Monday & Wednesday, April 29 – May 8, 7:00 – 9:00 pm at the Founders Community Center, this course is intended for people who want to learn the beginning level of Excel 2010 skills. This class will cover exploring the Excel 2010 program and its many useful features including customizing it. You will learn how to create workbooks, worksheets, and tables. You will also learn to work with data by formatting the cells to present in color, character, or themes. You will also work with beginning level formula’s and calculations. Finally, printing your workbooks for distributing. Prerequisites include basic computer knowledge, keyboard, and mouse skills as well as basic knowledge of file management on Windows 7 or XP.   A computer will be provided for each participant.

Adult Fitness Programs:

 

Zumba

A Latin-inspired, dance-fitness class that is easy and fun! The cardio-based dance movements are easy-to-follow steps that include body sculpting, targeting your glutes, legs, arms, core, and abs! Join us and see what everyone is talking about!  Zumba is fun, easy, effective, and everyone can do it! Please bring water and a towel to class.
