Youth Programs:

FOOTLIGHTS Dance

BALLET…TAP…HIP/HOP…JAZZ…

From the graceful movements of Ballet…to the quick beat of Hip/Hop Jazz…to the synchronized sounds of tapping toes…the Frankfort Park District has it all! This is a progressive program open to boys and girls age 3 ½ and older.  Students will be divided according to age and experience level in the classes listed below.  Students enrolled in Session I will have priority registration for Session II.  White Ballet shoes, black Tap & Jazz shoes are available for purchase at the first class.

There is still time to join and be a star performer in this year’s annual Recital Presentation titled: “BOOGIE TO THE BOOKS”.  This presentation will be held on Sunday, May 19 at the Lincoln-Way East High School Fine and Performing Arts Center.  Family and friends are invited to view this Recital performance by our talented Ballet, Tap, and Hip/Hop Jazz students.  ***An additional costume fee (approximately $50) will be incurred for those wishing to participate.

FAMILY SWIM

Get out of the cold and join us indoors for swimming!  The Frankfort Park District will host Family Swim on two Sundays a month in January, February and March.  Registration is done at the door at the Lincoln-Way East Aquatic Center.  Children 18 & under must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

Adult Programs:

GENTLE YOGA

A gentle, yet energetic program of yoga and breathing exercises adapted for mature adults or anyone with limited mobility.  This class is designed to help improve flexibility and gradually ease tight joints and muscles while building strength.  Chairs and other props may be used to make it an enjoyable and relaxing experience.   Regain mobility, coordination, balance and fullness of breath.  Leave feeling refreshed and relaxed.  Please bring your own yoga mat, all other props will be provided.
