20th Annual Family Fun Faire

Saturday, March 9, 2013, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm, at Lincoln-Way East High School join us for an Asset Building Celebration!  Bring your children ages 12 and under, for a day filled with hands on activities, music, games, food concessions and entertainment.  This is part of an Asset Building weekend sponsored by Lincoln-Way Connections, area park districts, youth commissions, schools, churches and Foundations for Success.  Mark your calendar for this all-important fun filled children’s weekend.  Admission is FREE!

Spring Craft Show

Saturday, March 16, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm at the Founders Community Center, 140 Oak Street.  A diverse selection of crafters and vendors, including Tastefully Simple, Pampered Chef, Tupperware, Emily’s Soy Candles, Clifford’s Pet Specialties, Katie’s Clips, Miche, Scentsy Wickless Candles, Jewelry, Floral, Clothing and much more!!!  For additional information or booth availability, please contact the Frankfort Park District office at 815-469-9400 or www.frankfortparks.org  Free Admission.

Clover Hunt

Saturday, March 16, 11:00 am on the West side of Founders Community Center (outside) join the Frankfort Park District in our 1st Clover Hunt to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day!!!  Special prizes will be given to those children who find the special cloves.  Registration is not required, just show up for the hunt.  Remember to visit our annual Spring Craft Show inside the Founders Community Center.  This event will be held rain or shine and is Free.  Ages: 1 – 8 yrs

 

Lunch with Bunny

Saturday, March 23, 11:00 am – 12:30 pm at the Founders Community Center hop on over to the Frankfort Park District for an egg-cellent time!  Join Peter Cotton Tail for lunch, entertainment and fun!  The children will enjoy some family friendly magic show after their visit with the bunny and lunch.  Each child will receive a photo frame keepsake craft and a goody bag.  Our lunch menu will include a McDonald’s hamburger, chips, cookie and drink.  All participants must be registered, including parents.  Remember that after this luncheon; join us at Main Park for the annual Easter Egg Hunt!  NO TICKETS will be sold at the door.  Registration Deadline: March 20  Ages: All  Fee: $8 /NR $11/person

 

Easter Egg Hunt

Saturday, March 23, 1:00 pm at the Pavilion at Main Park grab your Easter Basket and come to the Annual Easter Egg Hunt.  The Frankfort Area Jaycees and the Frankfort Park District are again teaming together to bring the children a special holiday event.  Peter Cotton Tail will join them in the hunt for the eggs.  There will be specially marked eggs for prizes.  Every child will receive a bag of candy. Ages: 1 – 8 yrs

Super Dog Egg Hunt                       

Saturday, March 23, 2:30 pm at the Bark Park at Commissioners Park dash around the Bark Park at Commissioners Park with your dog collecting treat-filled eggs and help your dog sniff out the golden egg to win a prize.  Egg hunting has gone to the dogs!  Line up early because this hunt will be over in a flash.  After the hunt, visit with our dog friendly vendors and get your photo with Peter Cotton Tail.  Families and all friendly dogs are welcome at this free, on-leash event.  An adult should accompany dog-owners under the age of 12.  While you are enjoying the hunt, please remember to sign up for the 2013 Bark Park season.  Sponsored by: Chew on This Dog Barkery, Inc.  Rain Date: Tuesday, March 26 @ 6:00 pm
