Parent-Tot Sports Mania

Friday, February 8-March 8, 10:45-11:30 am at the Founders Community Center, Moms or Dads, spend some quality time with your Little One in this class that introduces your child to the Wonderful World of Sports.  Your child will be able to shoot some hoops, score a soccer goal, hit a ball off the tee, or just run around the gym to burn off some steam. Parachute games will also be introduced!! Bowling Lessons

Monday, February 25- April 1, 5:30 – 6:30 pm at Thunder Bowl Bowling Alley, 18700 South Old LaGrange Road, in Mokena, come learn to bowl this winter with the Frankfort Park District and Thunder Bowl!  Each lesson will include game time, shoe rental and professional instruction from qualified staff members at Thunder Bowl Bowling Alley in Mokena. Chicago White Sox Hitting Club

Monday, February 25-March 25 (No Class March 4), at Grand Prairie School (north entrance) the Chicago White Sox Hitting Clubs are coming to the Frankfort Park District.  In this 4-week class, led by Elite Academy instructors, players will learn the same absolutes the White Sox players do. Get ready to be challenged! The White Sox Hitting Club step-by-step approach will cover plate coverage and stance, stepping into a hitting position, hand path and lower body mechanics.  There are hitting “absolutes” that must be present in each at bat to be successful.  We know them and will teach them to you.  Age/Time: 6-8/4:00-5:15 pm  Age/Time: 9-11/5:15-6:30 pm  Fee: $103/session

Chicago Bulls Skills Camp

Thursday, March 7-March 28, 6:00-7:30 pm, at Grand Prairie School (north entrance) join a fundamental basketball camp for Boys and Girls aged 5-14 years old, teaching the latest techniques in ball handling, passing, shooting, rebounding and offensive and defensive team play.  All instructors have learned directly from Chicago Bulls Coaches. From terminology to drills, your child will get an NBA workout and experience. This is the camp every young player should start and expand his or her basketball skills. Each student will receive: an autographed Bulls Player photo, a Skills Camp T-shirt, and an evaluation form.   Regrettably, we must limit enrollment to preserve performance standards and our player to coach ratio of 10 to 1 therefore, students will be accepted on a “first come, first served” basis.  Age: 5-14 years  Fee: $114

High School Boys Basketball League

Wednesday, March 13-May 8 (No Games April 3), 6:30, 7:30, 8:30 pm, at the Founders Community Center come join the fun in this first time league. A great opportunity to continue playing the game you love. Sign up as a team or let the recreation department put you on a team. Division 1 will be frosh-soph and Division II will be junior-senior. This will be an all game league, no practices will be scheduled by the park district.  Volunteer parents are encouraged to coach. The top 4 teams will play an end of the season single elimination tournament.  Please note that all divisions will be combined if needed.  Division I: frosh/soph  Division II: junior/senior  Fee: $65/NR $70 per person
