FRANKFORT PARK DISTRICT – UPCOMING ADULT PROGRAMS, Social Dance, Simplified for the Season, and Super Senior Day.

SOCIAL DANCE

Tuesday, Session II: November 6 - December 11, 7:00 - 8:00 pm at Founders Community Center grab your partner and put on your dancing shoes!  Have fun learning a wonderful array of ballroom dances including the Fox Trot, 2-Step, Waltz, Rumba, Cha-Cha, Polka, and Swing.  This class is a great way to get ready for all those upcoming events, such as weddings, reunions and parties.  You will need to register with a partner.  Instructor: Tony Ziegler  Ages: 16 & older Fee: $35/NR $40 per person

 

SIMPLIFIED FOR THE SEASON

Thursday, November 15, 7:00-8:00 pm at Founders Community Center, Emily Smith, Certified Professional Organizer, will help make this season more simple, less stressed, and well organized. Learn some sure fire organizing solutions to better equip you for the holidays. Together, we'll set up a Holiday Notebook that you can use each year to help you get and stay organized.  You won't want to miss this!  Bring a 3-ring binder and a picture of you and your family during the holidays. Age: 18 & older  Fee: $9/NR $14

 

SUPER SENIOR DAY

Wednesday, November 7, at Founders Community Center is a one-day program that consists of:

Rules of the Road – a review of the current traffic laws and the information that is needed to obtain a new or renew a Driver’s License.

Vision Screening – for anyone who is renewing a Driver’s License within 90 days of the date of the program.  After passing the screening, you are given a certificate that will enable you to bypass the vision screening when you renew your license.

Mobile Drivers Facility – a person can obtain a new or renew the Illinois Identification Card, renew a Driver’s License (must be under 75 years old, no road test given) and registered to vote.

Time:     Rules of the Road:  9:30 – 11:00 am

               Vision Screening:  10:00 am – 2:00 pm

               Mobile Drivers Facility:  10:00 am – 2:00 pm

Fee:        Rules of the Road - Free

               Vision Screening – Free

               There will be a charge for the licenses and ID Cards

Note:  To apply for or renew a Driver’s License, you must provide acceptable identification to verify your name, date of birth, Illinois residence, social security number and signature.  To apply for an Illinois Identification Card, you must present a birth certificate, social security card and proof of address.
