ZUMBA PARTY!

Friday, December 14, 7:00 – 8:30 pm at Founders Community Center join us for a special one and half hour of pure Zumba fun!! Perfect for the Zumba enthusiast who just can't get enough or a great way for the Zumba Newbie to see what everyone is talking about. We will take a short break in the middle to refuel. Please bring a towel and water if desired.   Sign-up for one, two, or all three! Instructor: Heidi Shalabi  Age: 16 & older  Fee: $12/NR $15/class

MAGIC CLASS!

Tuesday, December 18, 4:00 - 4:55 pm at Frankfort Square Park District, 7540 W. Braemar Lane, join the “Magic Team of Gary Kantor”. Children are guaranteed to have a great time as they learn a collection of fascinating and mesmerizing tricks! Amaze family and friends with tricks that involve cards, ropes, coins, mind-reading, and more.  While the tricks may appear difficult, you’ll discover that they are quick to learn and easy to perform.  All materials are provided, and each child receives a magic kit to take home.  Children are grouped by age and always learn tricks that are age-appropriate.  Additionally, you can sign up for this class again and again since brand new tricks are always taught at each session! Ages: 5 – 12  Fee: $22/NR $27

 

CANDY SCIENCE

Wednesday, December 19, 4:30 - 6:00 pm at Founders Community Center. Get ready to stir, melt, mix and pour some of your favorite candies to discover the unique properties of each by conducting experiments using treats such as M&M’s, skittles, marshmallows and chocolate! Participants will learn that most candies are created with the help of chemistry as we dissolve, heat, separate and observe, as well as create some of our own candy to taste! Age: 5 - 9 Fee: $25/NR $30

 

INTRODUCTION TO ROBOTICS – TWO DAY MINI-CAMP

Thursday & Friday, January 3 & 4, 9:30 – 11:30 am at Founders Community Center even young children can learn about robotics using the LEGO™ WeDo Robotics System.  Robot projects will include a monkey who plays a drum to a rock & roll beat, a lion that roars and a boat that will rock on the rough seas. And don’t forget about the hungry Lego alligator that loves to eat! Designed by the experts at MIT, this unique system teaches children about simple machines, engineering, programming and so much more. Young imaginations soar! Students will work in teams of 2.  Instructor: Computer Explorers  Ages: 6 – 9  Fee: $45/NR $50
