Amazing Turnout for Have a Heart for Connor

All I can say is wow!

Wow, is all I can say! Have a Heart for Connor was more than what we ever expected! The amount of people and support that we have received was overwhelming. I am proud to live in such a community that came out in droves for Connor. I really thought we would have to turn people away! The entire school was packed! Totals are not in yet, but with the amount of people in attendance and the generousity of people, we hopefully reached our goal, and we aren't done!

This was just the kickoff. We still have so many activities going on. Monday is our Have a Heart for Connor benefit at . Bring in our Have a Heart for Connor flyer and 10 percent of all sales will be donated back to Connor.

Also  will donate 10 percent of its sales from Feb. 1-7 when you order and mention Have a Heart for Connor.

We are going into our school district (thanks to our superintendent and board). We will be selling hearts to decorate, heart suckers and wrist bands that say Have a Heart for Connor. We still are selling candy and raffle tickets.

I am convinced we will reach our goal. Donations can be made to: Frankfort Lions Club, P.O. Box 223, Frankfort, IL 60423.

A special thanks to the Frankfort Lions club, Frankfort Jaycees, Summit Hill School District 161 and all the local businesses for their donations for our raffles and silent auctions. Also, thanks to all the vendors who offered their time and donations, the Tinley Park-Frankfort Square community, family and friends, local newspapers for their publicity, and finally to Connor for being such an inspiration to all of us.

We hope to see you cruising around the neighborhood in your new chair before spring.
