Lincoln-Way Offers Adult Learning–Welding Basics Class

Learn how to weld in a class for adults at Lincoln-Way East High School

Lincoln-Way High School District 210 is offering an adult welding class at .

Whether you are interested in creating your own artsy designs, doing repairs or thinking of a career in welding, you can get started here. The class is open to anyone who is interested in exploring the basics of Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), TIG welding, plasma arc cutting, brazing, torch cutting, gas welding and soldering. Tools, materials and protective gear will be provided.

Participants must wear leather shoes, long sleeves and long pants. No prior welding experience is necessary. Welding assignments and projects will be created in class.

Classes will be held on Tuesdays Feb. 14, 21 and 28, and March 6, 13, and 20. The class will run from 6 to 8 p.m. The cost is $150 for the course.
