L-W North students prepare for winter play

The Lincoln-Way North High School Theatre Company is hard at work preparing for the school's winter play, Twelve Angry Jurors, to be presented Jan. 31-Feb. 2 at the school.

The Lincoln-Way North High School Theatre Company is hard at work preparing for the school’s winter play, Twelve Angry Jurors, to be presented Jan. 31-Feb. 2 at the school.

The play revolves around 12 jurors who have to decide the fate of a 19-year-old boy who has been accused of murdering his father, explained  Samantha Korzen, the faculty sponsor and director.

“One juror decides to stand alone and explore the idea of `reasonable doubt,’ ” she added. “As the play unfolds, the true character of each juror is revealed and the audience begins to have a  different perspective.”

Cast in the production are Emily Ruzevich, Lauren Vitiritti, Thomas Swierczyna, Maura Alroth, Mike Balcerzak, Billy Zeitz, Ray Love, Jack Quirk, Maddie Conover, Breanne Peacock, Gina Quiriconi, Shannon Wolfe, Taylor Weber, Leah Rutz and Jack McGuire.

Show times are 7 p.m. Jan. 31, Feb. 1 and Feb. 2 at Lincoln-Way North High School, 19900 S. Harlem Ave., Frankfort.
