L-W North honors its 2013 Illinois State Scholars

The students rank in the top 10 percent of the state's graduating seniors.

Nearly 70 Lincoln-Way North High School students have earned the distinction of being Illinois State Scholars.

The students, who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, rank in the top 10 percent of the state’s graduating seniors. Rankings are based on a combination of ACT test scores and class rank.

“I am very pleased for these outstanding Lincoln-Way North students,” stated Dr. Michael Gardner, the principal at Lincoln-Way North. “They have exhibited the capability of being able to compete at the state level and be very successful. Each of these fine young adults are looking at a great future. They are not only successful in the academic arena, but are community minded as well. It is a pleasure and an honor to be their principal.”
