L-W East, L-W North announce winners of Spring Art Show awards

Best of Show Awards were presented to Dayna Grybas from Lincoln-Way East and Alyssa Sparacino from Lincoln-Way North.

   Lincoln-Way East and Lincoln-Way North high schools hosted their annual Spring Art Shows this month, giving area residents, students, faculty and staff a chance to view a variety of student artwork.

 

   On display were more than 100 pieces per school, including drawings, paintings, photography, jewelry, graphic design, ceramics, animation and art fundamentals.

   “The Spring Art Shows are always a great display of the hard work the students have completed throughout the school year,” said Phil Labriola, the art department chair at Lincoln-Way East and Lincoln-Way North. “The students really enjoy being able to display their artistic talent for everyone to see.”

   Awards of Excellence were presented to the following Lincoln-Way East students: Alyssa Ruvoli, Haley Ostrowski, Kate Garcia, Justas Varpucanskis, Jeremy Bieser, Delaney Triezenberg, Maddie Nirchi, Nick Nedved, Brad Yorkman, Madison Squires, Theresa Hanania, Rachel Sands, Rachel Murff, Kelsey Kasbaum, Sam Pointon, Kelsey Radomski, Mikayla Jaber, Lee Lieser, Nicole Rainford, Dayna Grybas, Madeline Rittgers, Jenna Bullaro, Julie Ruvoli, Jordan Landis, Jeanna Grybas and Megan Imgruet.

 

   Awards of Excellence were presented to the following Lincoln-Way North students: Crystal Thorns, Cailey Wulf, Amber Pittman, Melissa Martineck, Kayla Wolfe, Randi Bertolani, John Kane, Morgan Boman, Alex Valenti, Becca Francis, Amanda Jonker, Becca Morris, Emma Wittle, Leigh LaRocco, Gina Sipka, Milos Cvjetkovic, Alyssa Sparacino, Tyler Svehla, Angela Dizon, Haley Collins and Caitlin Broderick.

 

   Best of Show Awards were presented to Dayna Grybas from Lincoln-Way East and  Alyssa Sparacino from Lincoln-Way North.

 

   Purchase Awards were presented to Christine Boenzi from Lincoln-Way East and Alyssa Sparacino from Lincoln-Way North. Their artwork will be framed and placed on permanent display in the Fine Arts Center at their respective schools.
