What's the Deal with Enrico's Restaurant?

Assistant Village Administrator responds to questions about Enrico'sItalian Dining.

Assistant Village Administrator Rob Piscia put a halt to rumors that one of Frankfort's favorite Italian restaurants, Enrico's, was gearing up for a move in the 2800 block of S. LaGrange Road.

The beloved and historic Enrico's Italian Dining, closed its location at 21027 S. LaGrange Road in August 2012. The owners, Bob and Harry D'Ercole, had promised at the time that the restaurant would reopen. Nevertheless, that news has yet to become a reality.

Piscia said he'd also heard the rumors that Enrico's would be opening in the spot currently occupied by Walt's Food Center, 20825 S. LaGrange Road. But that's all there is to it—rumors.

The rumors had spread too to managers at Walt's Food Center, he said.

Piscia said he talked to the management at Walt's; they had concerns about the false rumors. He set the record straight—the village has received no word from the D'Ercoles or anyone else concerning the relocation of Enrico's.
