There'll be Music in the Air at the Bluegrass Festival and Sidewalk Sale

Banjos, fiddles, guitars and mandolins will be churning out a host of improvised melodies at Frankfort's third Bluegrass Festival July 13-14 at Breidert Green.

Frankfort Bluegrass on the Green is expected to draw thousands to its two-day festival, featuring the improvised melodies and rhythmic expertise of well-known bluegrass bands from around the country.

The third Frankfort Bluegrass Festival is scheduled from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. on July 13 and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. July 14 at Breidert Village Green, White and Kansas Streets in downtown Frankfort.   Steve Haberichter, owner of Down Home Guitars, 11 S. White St., is a founding member of the non-profit Frankfort Bluegrass Festival organization that planned, coordinated and collaborated on the festival.

"This is the third year, so we're hoping it's going to be great. We've got some great internationally-known bluegrass bands" along with regional favorites, he said.
