Red Mango Opens In Frankfort
Frankfort's Red Mango Yogurt & Smoothies offers gluten and dairy-free options.
Frankfort welcomed a new frozen yogurt shop Aug. 17 with a grand opening celebration.
Red Mango Yogurt and Smoothies, 11139 W. Lincoln Highway, features frozen yogurt and 30 flavors of smoothies on the menu.
Dora and Salvador Salazar of Frankfort opted to keep their business investment in their home town. The store fronts Lincoln Highway, she said, and the Lincoln-Way area is a good market for a healthy treat.
What makes Red Mango different, said Dora, is the 100 percent pure yogurt. At the same time, the frozen delights served up at the shop also include a probiotic to keep you healthy.
Dora is particularly proud about the shop's attention to customers with diet restrictions. "We have gluten-free and dairy-free options."
There are also a variety of kosher choices, she added.
The 1,480-square-foot shop employees all three of the Salazar girls: Julianne, Cindy and Jessica.
The store is open Sunday-Thursday from 10:30 a.m.-10 p.m. and from 10:30 a.m.-11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
Customers enjoyed their selections
Manhattan's Cathy Biscan and daughter Courtney Biscan stopped for a frozen treat. "I like the white chocolate," said Cathy. And Courtney said she particularly liked the strawberry sprinkles.
