New Vet Clinic Opens Inside Alsip Home & Nursery

Frankfort Animal Clinic provides convenience to Alsip shoppers. The walk-in clinic will have an open house Dec. 22.

A new veterinary clinic is now open inside of Alsip Home & Nursery in Frankfort, promising convenience for local pet owners.

Frankfort Animal Clinic, which is adjacent to the existing pet center at Alsip, opened Dec. 15. This Sunday, Dec. 22, there's an open house from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. that will feature tours, raffles, snacks and more.

Dr. John Coyne, who has worked with Alsip for a while, first partnered with the Alsip location in St. John, IN, a little more than a year ago.

"It's been a really good match," Dr. Amanda Clubine said. "It's nice to have the doctors right here."

The walk-in clinic offers routine exams, spays and neuters, microchipping, x-rays and many more services. Now, if someone adopts a pet at Alsip, they can get an immediate exam at the one-stop shop.

"It's very convenient," Alsip pet manager Lynn Woestman said. "It's time-saving, especially for us if we have new puppies or have an issue with a puppy. And people can drop their dog off here and shop for a while."

The clinic is open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. For more information, call the clinic at 779-324-5239 or go to the Frankfort Animal Clinic website
