Midnight Madness to Bring Holiday Discounts to Frankfort

This Friday, Frankfort residents will have the opportunity to enjoy a night on the town … in their pajamas.

Dec. 14 is the 17th annual Midnight Madness.

Every year, Frankfort residents are encouraged to spend one evening during the holiday season shopping at local businesses in their pajamas until the wee hours of the morning. The event is sponsored by the Frankfort Chamber of Commerce.

“It brings people to downtown Frankfort,” said Cathie Shaffer, owner of Bijoux Bridal.

Shaffer’s shop will feature vintage and repurposed gifts on Friday night, in addition to bridal items.

Many local businesses have special Midnight Madness deals.

Several stores are hosting progressive sales throughout the evening, where the discounts get deeper as the night gets later. Some shops are also giving discounts or special gifts to customers who attend Midnight Madness in pajamas. Other discounts will also take place during the event, and appetizers and beverages will be served by many participating businesses.

“It just brings a lot of new customers,” said Nancy Cartolano, who owns This & That Gifts, which will be holding a progressive sale on holiday items this Friday.

Bijoux Bridal is offering a discount to anyone who wears a wedding veil to Midnight Madness. Fiancée Couture is hosting designer Ronald Rodriguez, who will be available until 9 p.m. to consult with shoppers interested in custom evening gowns.

Midnight Madness begins at 6 p.m. on Friday and ends at 12 a.m. on Saturday. To view a full list of participating businesses, click here.
