Frankfort and other area businesses will be open 6 p.m. to midnight for holiday shoppers. Find out what kind of discounts some of them will be offering.

Midnight Madness, Frankfort's annual holiday shopping event, is set to run from 6 p.m. to midnight Friday, Dec. 16, and area businesses are already planning their specials and deals for the day. Here's a preliminary list from the that will be updated up until the event. Shops that don't have discounts or sales listed are still determining them.

  • A Frugal Traveler: Call 815-212-4291 for specials. 
  •  Progressive sale starting at 6 p.m. and continuing until midnight. Drinks and snacks for holiday shoppers. 
  • Alfie's Poochie Playlot (Mokena): Doggie Daycare for $10 will be provided from 6 p.m. to midnight. Customer must reserve ahead of time and show proof of vaccines. 
  •  Dollhouse Sales, Have A Merry Christmas Season! 
  •  Sales and amazing deals from 8 p.m. to midnight. 
  •  $50 for ultrasounds and 30 percent off all merchandise.
  • Bolhuis Kitchen Company 
  •  10 percent off purchases of $100 or more; 15 percent off purchase of $200 or more; and 20 percent off purchases $300 or more. 
  • Budget Blinds (Tinley Park): 40 percent off all appointments set on Friday Dec. 16. 
  •  $3 for childcare during Midnight Madness. From 6 to 9 p.m. for children 2 years old and older. Drop offs and pick-ups will be at the chapel. 
  •  Progressive holiday sale with up to 50 percent off holiday merchandise. 
  •  Stop in between Monday, Dec. 12, and Sunday, Dec. 18, and receive a $10 or $20 cash card when you sign up with a new membership.
  •  Customers will be able to find items from Santa's Attic Bargain Table. Receive a free luminary with a $25 purchase. 
  • Dino-Jump (Palos Park): $20 off jump rentals and 1 hour free. Expires Dec. 31. 
  •  The spa will have a booth at the Frankfort Bowling. There will be specials on gift certificates, fun stocking stuffers and the salon's organic body care line, Green Envee. 
  •  Sales throughout the evening. 
  •  Pay only $40 for a $50 gift card. 
  •  10 percent off on furniture. Every hour the discounts increase on select items up to 50 percent for other merchandise. 
  •  20 percent off any bottle of wine from 5 to 10 p.m. 
  •  Receive a free gift with any purchase. Plus, hourly mystery discounts. 
  •  25 percent off entire store (excluding clearance items). 
  •  Discounts throughout the evening. Local author and former Patch contributor Rachel Gilmore will be signing her new book, Under Which Everything Depends: Two Tales of a Horse Named Sam, from 7 to 8 p.m.
  • Jenny’s Steak House (Mokena): 10 percent off dining. 
  •  10 percent off per hour on paintings and drawings. 
  •  Discounts on selected gift baskets: 10 percent off from 7 to 9 p.m.; 15 percent off from 9 to 11 p.m.; and 20 percent off from 11 p.m. to midnight. 
  •  A babysitting service and PJ party will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. It's $15 per child, and reservations are required. 
  •  Store-wide sale all day. All Christmas merchanidse 50 percent off. There also will be specials throughout the evening that will include jewelry, hair bows, toys and more. 
  •  20 percent off items from 6 to 9 p.m.; 30 percent off from 9 p.m. to midnight. 
  •  Progressive discounts throughout the evening. There also will be refreshments and a free raffle. Local author and former Patch contributor Rachel Gilmore will be signing her new book, Under Which Everything Depends: Two Tales of a Horse Named Sam, from 9 to 10 p.m.

  •  Specials on parties booked that night only. 
  •  Call or visit the office for 15 percent off the purchase of service gift certificates.
  •  5 percent off all facials at 6 p.m.; 10 percent off at 7 p.m.; 15 percent off at 8 p.m.; 20 percent off at 9 p.m.; 25 percent off at 10 p.m.; and 30 percent off at 11 p.m. Purchase gift certificates for facials at a discount price. 
  • 10 percent off all items from 10 a.m. to 5:59 p.m., 15 percent off from 6 to 7:59 p.m., 20 percent off from 8 to 9:59 p.m., and 25 percent off from 10 to midnight. Beverages and appetizers will be served starting at 6 p.m.
  •  Free upgrade to an MVP Service cut.
  •  20 percent off all holiday merchandise from 6 to 9 p.m.; 30 percent off all holiday merchandise from 9 p.m. to midnight. 
  •  Steve Lotysz/Lotus prints and posters will be 50 percent off and 50 percent off all Christmas items and ornaments. Local author and former Patch contributor Rachel Gilmore will be signing her new book, Under Which Everything Depends: Two Tales of a Horse Named Sam, from 10:15 to 11 p.m.
  •  30 percent off Christmas décor. Thare also will be refreshments and in-store specials every hour.
