Frank Thomas built a reputation in Chicago as home-run hitter. Now it looks like the former White Sox slugger is intent on creating a new name as a brewmaster.
Thomas will be visiting locations around the south suburbs this week to tout his new venture, Big Hurt Beer, according to the area pizza chain's website. And one of his stops will include the Frankfort location.
His tour schedule is as follows:
- Tuesday, April 17: Tinley Park (6:30 p.m.) and Midlothian (8 p.m.)
- Thursday, April 19: Palos Hills (6:30 p.m.)
- Friday, April 20: Evergreen (6:30 p.m.) and Burbank (8 p.m.)
- Saturday, April 21: Frankfort (7 p.m.)
Big Hurt Beer was introduced last year, and Thomas hopes the lager, which is served in bars around Chicago, will eventually be sold at U.S. Cellular Field, the home field of the White Sox, according to Chicago Tribune reports.
