Amazing Fantasy to Celebrate Halloween With Free Comics
The Frankfort comic book store will also host a costume contest and offer holiday freebies and discounts.
Amazing Fantasy Books and Comics will offer several holiday activities and promotional events at the store’s first ever Halloween Comicfest on Wednesday.
On Halloween, the store will host an all day giveaway of several comic titles while supplies last, including Spiderman, Batman, Scooby Doo, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Adventure Time.
Patrons who visit the store in costume will receive an added discount. Store employees will determine the amount of the discount based on the quality of each costume. All kids in costume will receive at least 20 percent off.

Amazing Fantasy will also host a costume contest with a kids and an adults division. Costumes will be photographed and judged at the end of the day. The winners will receive store gift certificates.
Anyone who attends the event dressed as a zombie will be given zombie-themed freebies, including Walking Dead plush items and zombie comics.

The store will also have free candy and Halloween music.
“Halloween is such a fun time of year,” said store manager Lori Gentile. “We’re just really excited to be able to offer this.”
Halloween Comicfest is a national undertaking and is new to comic book stores this year. The celebration is a Halloween-themed variation of Free Comic Book Day, an annual comic industry event.
The festivities will take place from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Amazing Fantasy is located at 20523 S. La Grange Rd.
