D.I.N.K.s tells the story of a child-free couple and the difficulties they face as they try to find their niche in a town full of undisciplined parents and kids. The movie was shot mostly in Orland Park, with some location filming done at  and the now-closed  in Frankfort.

The movie's music also has a local connection. Frankfort resident Doug Adams, who has written a book about the music of Lord of the Rings, scored the film, and Frankfort singer-songwriter John Ludwig contributed a song especially for D.I.N.K.s, called “Dinkin’.”
