The members of the Young Professionals of Southwest Community Services (SCS) are proud to announce their inaugural karaoke contest ‘Singing for SCS”. This event is scheduled for August 10 at Tinley Bowl, 7601 W. 183rd. Street in Tinley Park and will take place in their beer garden, making it the first outdoor karaoke contest of its kind! (Weather permitting)
We are looking for 40 of the best singers from around the area, hand-picked by our members, compete for 1st through 10th place. No singer will sing the same song, so we look to have 40 great performances of 40 of your favorite songs! And you get to pick the winners!
Proceeds from this event will provide social and entertainment activities to the consumers of Southwest Community Services and the children from Southwest Therapy and Rehabilitation Center (STARS), a program of SCS located in Mokena. Activities include the Spring Fling dance, bowling and pizza party, and Halloween Hip Hop. Our goal is to raise money for more community integration activities.

FOR THE AUDIENCE:
Cost: $5 a person. 21 and older only. Bring a lawn chair or blanket. Sorry, no outside food/drinks allowed.

Doors open at 6pm, contest starts at 7pm.
Food will be available for purchase from Tinley Bowl: Choices include over 15 different appetizers, burgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, grilled cheese, and 10 inch to 18 inch pizzas.
The first 300 guests will receive a program booklet and a voting ballot.
CONTESTANTS:
Cost to compete is $20 a person. To be considered as a contestant you may email the link to You Tube (or other online source) of your performance or you can send a video file to chevycounty13@yahoo.com. You may also audition at a local karaoke night by calling Tim at (708) 244-3906 for a location and time. All contestants will be selected at the discretion of The Young Professionals of Southwest Community Services.
1st Prize: $300
2nd Prize: $200
3rd Prize: $100
4th thru 10th place will receive prizes based
on donations secured.
