Music Connection Chamber Orchestra Set for Pre- Concert and Intermission Performance at Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra Concert, Saturday May 12, 2012

The Music Connection Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Illinois Philharmonic violinist and Music Connection violin/viola instructor, Carl Johnston, will perform a pre-concert beginning at 7:15PM at Lincolnway North Performing Arts Center, 19900 S. Harlem, Frankfort, Illinois, on Saturday, May 12, 2012.

Pre- Concert repertoire includes music of Avison, Ungar/Mason, Moussorsky, and Stone.

Students performing are Alice Kraynak, Lockport; Rose DeVenuto, Manhattan; Joshua Litao, Tinley Park; Reyal Jardine, Tinley Park; Clare Maylone, Tinley Park; Claire Bessette, Orland Park, and Austin Pearson, Frankfort.

Intermission music features Joshua Litao, student of Carl Johnston, performing music of Mozart.

Accompanist is Maryanne Parker, Music Connection piano faculty member.

“We are so grateful to the Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra for giving our students an opportunity to perform and to hear the wonderful professional concert that follows our performance,” said Music Connection director, and Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra violinist, Janet Kuester.  “Each year our students look forward to performing for the patrons and are always inspired by listening to the Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra.”

The Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra Concert “A Night at the Opera” begins at 8:00PM.
