HELP! CASA of Will County Concert for Abused and Neglected Children

“Help! CASA of Will County” concert set for Thursday September 27 at CD & ME in Frankfort

JOLIET, Ill. – September 13, 2012 – CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Will County, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to draw from community resources to provide well-trained volunteers who advocate for abused and neglected children in the juvenile court system, will hold an end-of summer concert featuring the renowned Beatles tribute band, American English. The special event will take place at CD & ME, located at 23320 S. La Grange, Frankfort, Ill., on Thursday, September 27, 2012. Event sponsors include:  Will County Community Foundation, BMO Harris, West Will County Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, The Exchange Club of Joliet, Provena St. Joseph Medical Center, Morris Dermatology and Brumund, Jacobs, Hamel, Davidson & Andreano, LLC.

Event organizers promise “an evening under the stars while fans relive the days of Beatlemania with a chance to enjoy a meet and greet with the band following the three-act show.” American English is known for its authentic set lists and elaborate costumes, which begin with a recreation of the Beatles’ Ed Sullivan appearance, moves through the Sgt. Pepper’s era and closes with a tribute to Abbey Road and beyond. The 21 and over show will be held rain or shine, with the concert moved to the indoor Loft venue in the event of inclement weather.

“CD & ME is a beautiful and intimate venue that will provide a fantastic backdrop for this special show,” said CASA of Will County Executive Director Rita Facchina. “We receive more than half of our financial support from contributions and fundraising, so a good turnout at an event like this goes a long way in allowing us to directly help even more children within Will County.”

CASA of Will County, a United Way agency whose offices are located at the River Valley Justice Center in Joliet, has been serving abused and neglected children since 1994. In the year 2000, the court began assigning CASAs as the child’s GAL (or Guardian Ad Litem) in court cases, resulting in improved legal representation for these childrn.
