Down Home Guitars is organizing the first Frankfort Bluegrass Festival, which it hopes will become an annual tradition, offering premier bluegrass bands, workshops, jamming and a weekend of music and fun all wrapped in the backdrop of historic Frankfort. Saturday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
With a setting on Breidert Green, located at Kansas and Oak Streets, in Downtown Frankfort, bluegrass fans will be treated to bands like Special Consensus, the HillBenders and Henouse Prowlers offering some of the best bluegrass music in the country. All for the price of showing up.
Whether you're in the mood for a quick snack, festival munchies, or relaxing dinners and lunches, great food will be provided by festival vendors and local restaurants.
