UPDATE: On Your Mark: Fourth Annual Do the Griff Race Set for Weekend
Plus, Joliet Junior College wins Food Network Challenge

Drs. J. Aaron Wolfe and Bradley Katzmann of along with , both in Frankfort, will host the fourth annual Do the Griff 4-mile community run Sunday, May 1. Proceeds from the event go to Lincoln-Way High School District 210, Frankfort School District 157-C and Mokena School District 159.
The race, which starts at 8:30 a.m., runs through Frankfort's Butternut subdivision, which is adjacent to , and begins at the corner of Bankview Drive and Colorado Avenue. The final lap will be run around the L-W East school track. Walkers are welcome to participate.
The event also includes three free kids’ races, for age groups of 4-6, 7-9 and 10-12.

Registration is $40 and includes a long-sleeved Endurafit shirt, goody bag, chip timing, refreshments, awards and post-race activities, such as an onsite massage provided by .
Race information and registration can be found at the race's website. Online registration runs through 9 p.m. Thursday, April 28, and race-day registration will be 7-8 a.m. Registration for the free kids’ races will be held the day of the race.

Joliet Junior College Chef Andy Chlebana won the Food Network Challenge: Sugar Fashion, which aired on the channel Sunday night.
Chlebana and his assistant, JJC alumnus Heather Schreiner, successfully created a dress made of sugar to win the grand prize of $10,000, which Chlebana says he’ll use to take his family to Disney World.
The Illinois Department of Transportation has announced that pavement patching on southbound Interstate 57 over the Tri-State Tollway (Interstate 294) will require temporary lane closures this weekend.
Starting 9 p.m. Friday, weather permitting, southbound I-57’s far right lane approaching the Tri-State Tollway will be closed the duration of the weekend. A second lane will be closed, weather permitting, between midnight Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday and also between 1 and 9 a.m. Sunday.
All lanes are scheduled to reopen by 6 a.m. Monday.
Starting May 6, lane closures are scheduled at the same times for southbound I-57’s left lanes approaching the Tri-State Tollway.
