New Year for Cruisin' Frankfort Means New Parking Setup

Whether your a participating classic car owner or just a spectator, find the best place to park at the weekly downtown summer event with our interactive map.

The 's annual outdoor auto show, , returns downtown Thursday, May 17. But car buffs familiar with the weekly summer event will have to adjust to new parking arrangements this year. 

The biggest change will be no parking allowed on Elwood Street, west of Smith Street, with parking on Elwood only allowed on the south side of the road, according to the Frankfort Car Club, which sponsors the event. About five parking spots along the south side of Kansas Street also were lost after the for and .

Eventually this year, the old Fox Lumber area by , , will be available for parking for spectators. That would open up about 45 spaces for participating collector cars in the parking lot on White Street, which is now being used for spectators, according to the club.

  • RED: Cruisin' Frankfort cars parking
  • BLUE: Business parking; no collector cars allowed
  • GREEN: Spectator parking
  • PURPLE: No parking

Signs, traffic cones and barricades will mark off the new no-parking areas, and they will be placed after noon cruise night Thursdays.
