It was a meeting that was literally months in the making for Michelle Papandrea, something she had been anticipating since late February. And after a some rescheduling, the one-on-one finally happened Saturday in the north suburbs.
Michelle met Snooki.
And if you ask Michelle, it was definitely worth the wait.
. That glamour shot earned Michelle, a Lincoln-Way East grad whose family owns , some personal, VIP time with Snooki during a personal appearance Saturday, April 28, at the Ultimate Exposure tanning salon in Hoffman Estates. (Michelle, a sophomore at Roosevelt University, works at the Ultimate Exposure location in Chicago.)
So what was it like for Michelle to finally meet the woman she has been watching on TV with her roommates for the past couple years? I'll let her tell you about the experience. And check out her photos from the event in this article's media gallery.
My Day With Snooki
By Michelle Papandrea
I was able to meet Snooki yesterday, and it was so exciting! She was very quiet and almost shy in person, which was actually nice to be around because it proves she is a real person outside of her reality show.
There was a VIP room set up, and I was able to talk to Nicole one on one for a little bit. We talked about Chicago, twins (because I brought my twin sister with me, and she loved the fact we're twins!), her engagement ring and her pregnancy! She was super nice, and very easy to talk to. She signed a picture for me, gave me a signed pair of her sunglasses from her line, and her mom is sending me a pair of Snooki slippers for winning the contest! We also took a ton of pictures, which will all be on the Supre Tan (the tanning lotion Snooki endorses) website.
After my VIP time she met and took pictures with a ton of her fans. People lined up and waited outside in the cold for her all morning! I was able to sit on the side, while she did all of the meet and greets and it was just fun being able to watch her do her thing. You can tell she's happy, which is great. Everyone deserves that. I know people criticize her for a lot of things, but I don't think all of it is fair. Yes, everyone's entitled to their opinion, but everyone is just seeing the side of her that is on TV.
I loved that I got to meet her. It was such a fun experience! She's not my role model or anything, but it's exciting to meet someone that you see on TV and all over magazines! I had a great time, and she was a doll to talk and meet with. I wish her all the best with her engagement and pregnancy.
