Mother/Daughter Spa Day: Girls Just Wanna Have Fun
Frankfort Park District provided a mom and daughter spa day over the weekend, with the help of Trend Setters College of Cosmetology
provided a mom and daughter spa day experience with the help of Trend Setters College of Cosmetology.
A room full of little ladies and their moms were treated to hair styling, make-up application and a manicure with light snacks at the Founders Center in downtown Frankfort.
Moms and daughters of all ages are welcome to sign up, but this year it seemed to appeal most to daughters about 10 years old and younger.

The program has been very popular, filling up quickly, organizers said.
The park district offered the program years ago and decided to try it again in 2010. It was so popular in 2010 that the special events coordinator Cali Debella and the FPD decided to add a second session for 2011.

The second session will happen sometime in October. Organizers will post more information as it becomes available.
"We held the program in May to do something fun for mothers around Mother's Day," said Cali Debella. "We wanted to add a second session in May, but there wasn't a time available. We hope that our date in October can fall sometime over the long Columbus Day weekend."
