Health Clinic Offers Free Shots for Seniors

Local law enforcement agencies and other sponsors are holding a special health event for seniors Wednesday at the Frankfort Township Administration Building.

Frankfort/Mokena TRIAD's second senior health and flu shot clinic will be from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Sept. 28, at the .

The clinic will offer free flu, pneumonia and shingles shots to seniors who are Medicaid or Medicare Part B patients. Shots for everyone else are $23.

Free diabetes and blood pressure screenings will be provided by , and the Frankfort Lions Club will give hearing tests. Free refreshments and saftey information also will be provided.

The clinic is sponsored by Frankfort/Mokena TRIAD, the Will County Sheriff's Office, , , Dominick's and the Frankfort Lions Club. TRIAD is a cooperative effort between local police chiefs and the sheriff's office to help improve the quality of life for area seniors.
