Frankfort Village Hall Expansion Project on Track

The project is scheduled for completion in spring 2015.

Work is progressing on the Village of Frankfort's $4 million administration building expansion.  With the excavation complete, utility work has been confirmed and is progressing.  Weather resulted in delays, but the schedule remains on track for the project.

Additional site and storm/sewer work will begin during the week of June 7.  Construction Solutions, Inc., the general contractor for the project, has confirmed sub-contractors and their registration with the Village is in process.

“The administration building project is moving along as scheduled, and we are very pleased with the work progress thus far," said Frankfort Mayor Jim Holland.

The expansion will include a new board room and community meeting room attached to the existing Village administration building located at Route 45 and Nebraska Street.

The board expects this facility to accommodate community groups, civic groups, homeowners' associations, the Village Board, the Plan Commission and others who need meeting space well into the future. The construction will also include new public bathrooms, a new lobby, several new offices as well as additional parking and landscaped areas.
