PHOTOS: Halloween Brings Out Ghouls on Parade Downtown

Costumed kids listened to scary stories and marched through Frankfort on Monday. Check out our photos from the event.

and other village organizations hosted the annual E.F. Bucko Parade Monday afternoon to kick off Halloween trick-or-treating downtown.

This family-friendly event catered to Frankfort's youngest crowd, as many older, school-age children were still on buses at 3:45 p.m. when the festivities began. Spooky stories were told by Dr. Alan Heath on and a parade of costumed trick-or-treaters walked down Kansas Street to receive a large goody bag of candy at the parking lot of Nebraska and Hickory streets.
