Frankfort Country Market Set to Open April 27

The market opens April 27, and will run every Sunday through October 26.

A Frankfort favorite is close to returning for a fresh season.

The 2014 Frankfort Country Market is scheduled to open on Sunday, April 27 at 10 a.m. The market continues every Sunday until October 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in downtown Frankfort. The Spring Market (from April 27 through June 1) features early crops and plantings; the Summer Market (from June 8 through October 26) features a wide variety of seasonal produce, freshly produced foods, seminars, chef demos and activities for the entire family.

Market hours in the fall (from September 7 through October 26) will be 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.  In addition to the expanded market introduced in 2013, the 2014 season will include entertainment every Sunday on the newly renovated Breidert Green stage during the summer market, and a “Munchkin Market” activity area. Special events will again expand in 2014 with activities for the entire family to enjoy.

To date, 53 vendors have been confirmed for the 2014 Frankfort Country Market; including several new vendors. A complete roster of vendors will be available soon on the Village website as well as at the market.

“The Frankfort Country Market continues to be one of our most successful events in the downtown district. We are very excited about the continued expansion of the market, new vendors, and additional activities for 2014, and look forward to a very successful market season,” said Mayor Jim Holland.

The Frankfort Country Market Committee is a Village of Frankfort sponsored committee of residents who are appointed for one year terms by the mayor.
