Girls High School Basketball: Marist vs. Lincoln-Way East 

When: 8:10 p.m.
Where: , 19900 S. Harlem Ave.

TUESDAY, FEB. 22

Village Board Meeting 

When: 7 p.m. 
Where: Frankfort Police Station, lower level, 20602 Lincoln Way Lane

This week's board meeting moves to Tuesday because of the Presidents Day holiday. The agenda includes votes on new ordinances and approval of the 2011 zoning map. Go here for a look at the meeting's full agenda.

WEDNESDAY, FEB. 23

Turning Point, a College Fair for Students With Disabilities 

When: 5:30 p.m. 
Where: , 19900 S. Harlem Ave.  

Residents of Lincoln-Way High School District 210 are invited to a college fair to answer questions about self-advocacy, college admissions criteria and the differences between college and high school for students with disabilities. College representatives from Eastern Illinois University, Southern Illinois University and the University of Illinois will be attending. Go for more information on the event.

Better Government Association Citizen Watchdog Training 

When: 6-8 p.m. 
Where: Joliet Junior College, 1215 Houbolt Road, Joliet  

This free program gives residents tips on keeping an eye on their local government and reporting what's going on in their communities. Veteran journalists, investigators and legal professionals will lead sessions on understanding government, the Open Meetings Act and the Freedom of Information Act. Summit Hill School District 161 Board Meeting 

When: 7 p.m. 
Where: District Administration Building, 20100 S. Spruce Dr.

THURSDAY, FEB. 24

Autism Seminar 

When: 7 p.m. 
Where: , 10043 W. Lincoln Hwy.  

Dr. Francine Pearce-Falls will teach parents how to help manage problem behavior in children with autism and related disorders. Go  for more details.

Village Plan Commission Meeting

When: 6:30 p.m. 
Where: Frankfort Police Station, lower level, 20602 Lincoln Way Lane  

The commission will look at a request to consolidate lots in the Kean Avenue Estates Subdivision. Go here for the complete agenda.

FRIDAY, FEB. 25

Lincoln-Way Preschool Registration 

When: 9 a.m.-2 p.m.  
Where: , 201 Colorado Ave.  

Lincoln-Way residents will have two days to register their children in the 2011-12 preschool program sponsored by the Family and Consumer Sciences Child Care classes at Lincoln-Way East and Lincoln-Way North high schools. To be eligible for the preschool program, children must be 3 years old by Sept. 1, toilet trained and reside within the Lincoln-Way school district. A second registration day will be Monday, Feb. 28, at Lincoln-Way North High School. Parents may attend either registration day regardless of their school preference. Go for more details

VFW Fish Fry
