Maximum class size will be 5 children and parents.

“Children 5-8 years old often enjoy group activities for learning,” said Janet Kuester, director.  “I am really excited about this new program, because it is geared towards the young guitar student.  We have well-crafted small sized guitars with beautiful tone so that children become accustomed to creating a beautiful sound.  At the end of the four September sessions, students and parents who wish to continue their studies will decide whether to continue in group or private instruction.”

The Suzuki method of teaching promotes starting music lessons at early ages, parental involvement, and playing beautiful melodies to teach the child and motivate them to learn.  Dr. Suzuki believed making music fun and teaching children through games and group activities was the best way to foster long term interest and desire to play well.

Music Connection Suzuki Guitar teacher Chris Rejman stated: “I have found the Suzuki method to be a natural approach in mastering the complexities of the guitar. It’s a step by step process involving careful observation, repetition, and positive feedback. Each step may start as a challenge, but eventually becomes controlled fluency. I love observing each student’s proud moments during this process. A can-do attitude shows perseverance: a life long quality I want each student to develop.”
