Document destruction event set for Sept. 7 in Park Forest

    PARK FOREST  -- The Will County Land Use Department Resource Recovery and Energy Division, along with the Village of Park Forest and Park Forest Farmers Market, will host a document destruction event on Saturday, Sept. 7.

     The event will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, at Cunningham Drive and Main Street, across from the old Park Forest Plaza.

     Residents may bring bank account statements, tax forms, old bills, old checks and any other personal document to be shredded. A maximum of two file boxes per vehicle will be accepted.

     All documents will be shredded on-site by Shark Shredding Inc. One hundred percent of the shredded paper will be recycled.

     The line will close at exactly 11 a.m. Anyone in line will be able to have documents shredded. Those who arrive after 11 a.m. will be turned away.

     Do not bring wet documents, food waste, newspaper, homework assignments, hazardous waste, or metal.
