Sports Clips in New Lenox is sponsoring Help a Hero to raise funds for U.S. Troops gift and phone cards.
It's not too early to begin thinking about the holidays. Sports Clips in New Lenox is sponsoring Help a Hero to raise funds for gifts for U.S. Troops.
Brigette Madsen, manager at Sports Clips, 420 E. Lincoln Highway in New Lenox, has organized a combination candle light bowl and bags tournament to help raise fund to get gift and calling cards for U.S. troops.
The fundraising event begins at 9:30 p.m. Oct. 12 at Laraway Lanes, 1009 W. Laraway Road. It's called Help a Hero. The cost of the candlelight bowl is $15 per person and includes shoes, three games, pizza and pop. The bags tournament fee is $20 per pair. Tickets can be purchased at Sports Clips or at the door at Laraway Lanes.
If you can't make it to the event, Madsen said you're welcome to stop by the shop to offer a donation.
