Frankfort Township Seniors' Day Trip to Milwaukee

Frankfort Township seniors will be learning about one of the giants in Milwaukee's beer brewing history.

Today, a group of Frankfort Township seniors are boarding a bus and heading off to Milwaukee for a tour of the brewery.

The one day trip features a tour of the Pabst Mansion,  a turn-of-the-century sign of Capt. Frederick Pabst's success in the Gilded Age.

According to the Pabst Mansion website, the famed beer baron authorized construction on the mansion in 1890. It was completed in 1892. This single mansion is the size of several homes in one. It is more than 20,000 square feet in total, the website explains.

The baron paid a cool $75,000 for the home.
