Replacing Jenny's Steak House in downtown Frankfort in 2011, Smokey Barque serves authentic smokehouse barbecue. The restaurant makes its sauces fresh daily, and those varieties include:
- North Carolina: a vinegar base with tomato and pepper.
- South Carolina: mustard-based with vinegar.
- Kansas City: sweet, tomato-based sauce.
- Texas: spicy tomato-based sauce.
- Alabama: mayonaise-based and a little hot.
- Mango: made with mangos with a sweet and spicy taste.
