DESCRIPTION:Sandy Newell is an artist working and living in Frankfort\, I
 llinois. She lives with her husband\, three children and dog\, Toby.She 
 received her BFA from the University of Illinois and her MBA from Loyola
  University of Chicago.\nSandy began her career as a graphic designer
  and successfully  operated her own design studio for fifteen years. She
  also taught art at  the local grade school for several years\, learning
  as much from her  students as they did from her.\nFor the past three
  years\, Sandy has devoted herself full time to  creating her artwork. S
 he is a member of the Illinois Watercolor Society  (IWS)\, and the Trans
 parent Watercolor Society of America. Her painting  "White Orchids" was 
 juried into the Small Waters exhibit sponsored by  the IWS. "Red Tulips"
  won an Osio-Brown award at the IWS 2010 annual  members show. She has a
 lso exhibited at the McCord Gallery in Palos  Park\, Il.\nArtist rece
 ption at Monkey Mind Art Gallery\nApril 20th 6-8pm free and open to the 
 public.\nRefreshments will be served
