 ic  Business Association will host the 27th annual Christkindl celebrati
 on  on December 8 and 9 from 12-4 p.m. The 8th annual Cookie Walk will a
 lso  take place during that time frame.\n"Frankfort has  German roots an
 d it's important that we remember these things\," said  Pickwick Society
  Tearoom owner Cindy Vassell\, who has been a part of the  cookie walk f
 or the past seven years and loves that St. Nicholas\,  Germany's version
  of Santa Claus\, is a part of the weekend event.\n"He should be here. H
 e's part of Frankfort's Christkindl tradition\," she shared.\nSt.  Nicho
 las does spend the weekend in Frankfort visiting with families  througho
 ut the downtown area. In keeping with his legend\, St. Nicholas  passes 
 out sweets (gingerbread cookies) to nice little children but  switches (
 sticks) to naughty ones. St. Nicholas will also be on hand for  a breakf
 ast in his honor on Saturday\, December 8. The first annual  Christkindl
  Breakfast with St. Nicholas offers two seatings at 9:45 or  11:00 a.m. 
 at Kup a Joe Cafe\, 41 Old Frankfort Way. Advance tickets are  required 
 for children 12 and under and cost $6 each. The child's meal  includes a
  Mickey Mouse pancake\, bacon and milk or juice. Adults and  older sibli
 ngs may also attend and simply order off the menu at regular  price. Fam
 ilies are encouraged to bring their cameras for pictures with  St. Nicho
 las\, who will visit each table. Tickets are available at Kup a  Joe Caf

  will also lead the traditional lantern parade from the  Frankfort Area 
 Historical Society down to Breidert Green\, where he'll  tell stories ar
 ound the fire. The parade departs from the FAHS museum\,  132 Kansas\, a
 t 4:45 p.m. on Saturday\, December 8.\nThe  Cookie Walk has grown in pop
 ularity\, selling out for the past several  years. This year only 300 ti
 ckets are available and can be bought online  for $6 each at http://fran
 kfortcookiewalk.eventbrite.com or in person  at My Sister's &amp\; Me\, 
 This &amp\; That Gifts\, Lil' Surprises\, Pickwick  Society Tearoom and 
 White Street Market. If any tickets remain by  December 8\, they will be
  for sale for $7 each at the check in table in  the Trolley Barn\, 11 Wh
 ite Street. Ticket holders should pick up their  Cookie Walk map and bag
  in the Trolley Barn and then visit each of the  20+ participating merch
 ants to receive their individually wrapped  holiday cookies.\nOther week
