I have replaced using plastic or paper bags at the store with these adorable baskets. I actually have four of them to match my car. I line them up in the truck and since they are collapsible, I can carry them all into the store and use what I need.

I like the fact that I no longer have to use all the small produce bags for each type of produce I purchase.

You may currently putting four peaches in a bag, three apples in a bag, six onions in another bag, and so on. Wow a lot of plastic bags being produced, trashed, etc.

Using the baskets works likes this:  In basket #1 you put all the fruit and veggies you are purchasing.  When you go to check out, give the cashier basket #2 (an empty basket). As she checks out each produce she puts the items into basket #2. This seems very logical but I promise you when you get up the check out without an empty basket it gets rather confusing.
