The Gilmore Girl's Tea, Talk & Tour -- Oct. 20

Always wondered about the mysteries of history in downtown Frankfort's charming old buildings? Join author Rachel Gilmore for a tea, talk and tour (weather permitting) in historic Frankfort on Saturday, October 20, beginning at 9:30 a.m.

9:30 a.m. Meet Rachel at the Frankfort Area Historical Society Museum where you can explore displays of Frankfort history. Copies of Rachel's newest book, Images of America: Frankfort will also be available. (*special event price of $18, not included with ticket)

The museum is located at 132 Kansas Street in downtown Frankfort.

10:00 a.m. Walk with Rachel half a block east to the Pickwick Society Tearoom and enjoy a breakfast tea (includes tea, slice of quiche, fruit and a scone) while Rachel shares stories from some of the quaintest and quirkiest photos she found for her book.

11:00 a.m. Optional walking tour with Rachel, visiting historic buildings featured in the book. NOTE: Walking tour will take place weather permitting.

You can also buy toclets with cash or check at the Frankfort Area Historical Society museum. The museum is open Wednesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Stop in or call to reserve tickets, 815-469-6541. Tickets must be paid for by noon on Wednesday, October 17.
