Now’s the time to dispose of all those broken or outdated electronic devices cluttering your home.
The Lincoln-Way North Athletic Boosters are organizing an electronic recycling event on Oct. 20, giving folks an opportunity to rid their homes of unwanted electronic devices, including computers, clocks, laptops and VCR’s – anything that plugs into the wall or runs on batteries.
Just don’t bring any TV’s or monitors. Those items will not be accepted.
The Boosters will help you discard of your computer hard drives by removing them for free.
For more information, visit the Booster’s website at www.lwnab.org.
The Electronic Recycling event will take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 20 at Lincoln-Way North High School, 19900 S. Harlem Ave., Frankfort.
Proceeds will benefit the athletic programs at Lincoln-Way North and help fund scholarships for students.
Other items to be accepted Oct. 20 are servers, hard drives, printers, copiers, cable boxes/modems, circuit boards, semiconductors, PBX/telephones, cell phones, radio equipment, switches, connectors, PDA devices, DVD’s, game consoles, household electronics, cameras, projectors and typewriters.
