Will the Frankfort UFOs Make a Return Visit? (Video)

About a year ago, residents saw multiple orange lights hovering in the sky over the village, but no one knew what they were. Did you see them that July night in 2011? Do you think they'll appear again a year later?

It was a warm, still July night when the UFOs came to .

No wind—not even a light breeze—was blowing through the trees at around 10:30 p.m. on July 30, 2011, when about 20 to 50 orange lights appeared above the village from about a half hour, hanging in the night sky, soundless.

At least that's the claim of one resident who saw this spectacle, took photos and sent them to UFOs Northwest, a UFO sightings website. Here's how the description read:

It was Saturday 7-30-2011 about 10:30 PM. I saw About 20-50 Orange Lights (Orange like Fire to the Eye) moving From South to North. The lights moved fast with no sound. The lights appeared to be at real high altitude. Basically all were flying in a single file formation. The sighting lasted for about 1/2 hour.

Another resident shot video of it (you can watch it in this article's media gallery) and posted it on YouTube. Someone made this comment on that page:

It was About 1030pm On Saturday Night Went out to let the Dog Out...... It was What I Estimate to be About 20-50 Lights Moving South to North....'With no Sound at All...' At First I thought it May have been Lights on 'Hot Air Ballons ' But They were moving too fast ...

And this wasn't the only incident. A couple saw and photographed an orange ball of light in the sky in April 2011, and there was a videotaped case from October 2004 of residents throughout the Southland seeing three red lights in the sky (the video is in this article's media gallery).

Of course, everytime people hear the word "UFO," they automatically think aliens from another planet. But all that acronymn stands for is "unidentified flying object," emphasis on the unidentified. At night, it can be hard sometimes to tell the difference between a star and the 10:17 p.m. Southwest Airlines flight from Midway to Raliegh-Durham. But given the video and photographic evidence, there's no disputing there were lights of some type in the sky.

So what do you think those lights were? Commercial airplanes? Classified military aircraft? Actual extra-terrestrial spaceships? Swamp gas? And do you think those lights—whatever they were—will pop up again this month?

Is the truth out there? Do you want to believe?

YOUR TURN! What do you think those multiple orange lights from July 30, 2011, were? Share your thoughts in the comments section and post any photos or videos you have of strange flying objects in the Frankfort area.
