What Should Go Here? Gas City Headquarters
Now that the bankrupt company's famous bovine mascot has left Frankfort, what do you think should take its place (the company's place, not the mascot's)?
Last week, Frankfort residents said goodbye to the iconic Gas City cow, Elsie, as it was moved from its location on LaGrange Road to Homer Glen. Now that Gas City—now McEnery Enterprises—has moved its offices Tinley Park, what should become of this facility at 21660 S. LaGrange Road?
Unlike past What Should Go Here? candidates, this location isn't a storefront or a traditional business park. This is a small corporate office that was designed for one occupant, and it requires a little more imagination. Instead of retail outlets, think of manufacturers and other type of businesses.
What about an after-hours veterinary clinic? Or an art gallery to go along with White Street Gallery & Framing and Monkey Mind Art Studio & Gallery? Or what about a technology start-up that could be the new Facebook (I didn't say the suggestions couldn't be overly optimistic and a little ambiguous)?
Whatever takes its place needs to have a mascot. We vote for giant hedgehog.
Share your ideas in the comments section. Maybe your suggestions will get a business interested in the space.

I like the emergency vet idea for after hours. We now have to go all the way to 191st street for care of an injured or sick pet.

I am just hopeful that whatever business moves into the space they will be mindful that they are neighbors to the residents of Suttondale.
