The storm that came through the Southland Saturday afternoon missed the Frankfort Amateur Rib Cook-Off, which ended just as the thunderheads moved in.
Unfortunately, the high winds and downpour rains had their way with Frankfort residents' trees, power lines and property, in some cases causing a bit of damage. That's why Frankfort Patch wants to know: How did the storm affect you?

Tell us what the wind, lightning and rain did to your home or yard. You can even share photos of the damage. Some readers did just that on the Frankfort Patch Facebook page, and you can read—and see—some of those examples above.
And don't think of this as just as a morbid collection of anecdotes and pictures. Use this as an opportunity to ask other readers for advice on how to deal with downed branches and flooded basements, as well as get recommendations on local businesses that could help you out. In fact, you can even check those recommendations out by looking up the business in our directory.

Storm did no damage on my property. However, at 11:30 p.m., long after the storm was over, we lost power in the Tanglewood subdivision and it wasn't restored until after 5 p.m. Sunday. There are 12 homes on Overlook Court East and West and Overlook Drive that lose power on a regular basis. What's with that Com Ed?

My husband and I own Precise Tree Care and we are still cleaning up from the storm and STILL have calls coming in for damage! We were out of town when it happened and came home early to attend to the damage. Hopefully that is it for the year!!!!!
