As you probably know, 2012 is a leap year, which means we have an extra day this month. In this case, it's a Tuesday, which means it's also an extra day of work. 

Lately, however, I've been in a sharing mood, and that's why I've decided to give one lucky reader the chance to be the editor of Frankfort Patch for Tuesday, Feb. 29.

And what does that honor entail? Here's what the editor-to-be can look forward to: 

• You get pick the stories: Ever wanted to see a certain article appear on Frankfort Patch? Now's your chance to make that happen. Is there something you want to feature about Frankfort that makes it special? What about a profile on a resident who deserves the spotlight? Or maybe a story about a favorite locally owned restaurant or business? You'll get to brainstorm story ideas with me and set the lineup for that day's content.
• You're my boss: Someone has to write these stories, right? Once the stories are set, you get to assign them to me to report on. You cannot, however, threaten to fire me if I miss deadline. 
• You get to write a column: Readers are going to want to know a little something about their new Frankfort Patch editor. 

Unfortunately, you won't be able to hang out at Frankfort Patch headquarters. But if your schedule is flexible, we'll try to set up office hours where we can talk, have a cup of coffee or a bite to eat and let readers stop by and tell you how you did.

So what do you need to do for a chance become editor? Just explain why you should be editor for the day in the above form by 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17. I will pick the winner and contact him or her by Tuesday, Feb. 21.
