Wow, we did it!

Thanks to the generosity of Frankfort Patch readers, I reached my goal of $250 for the St. Baldrick's Foundation, which helps fund research for children's cancer. In fact, I surpassed that goal by $100, hitting $350 as of Sunday morning. And that means I'll be getting my hair shaved Sunday, March 25, at Jameson's Pub. (I also said I would shave off my facial hair if I hit $100, which I'll be doing Monday.)

Want to hear some more good news? As of Saturday night, the Frankfort St. Baldrick's event, which is organized by the Frankfort Police Department, has earned $12,260. The goal was $10,000.

I've said this before--here, as well as when I chat with readers around town--but I'm continually amazed and impressed by the charitableness of Frankfort residents. Whether it's time or money, people in the village turn out to help in any way they can at the drop of a hat.

I would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who donated to this cause, including the three shy contributors who go by the name Anonymous. Those who helped me reach my goal are:
