The Hickory Creek Middle School band hosted a Veterans Day Concert on Nov. 7.

A Veterans Day Observation was presented at 7 p.m., with Frankfort mayor Jim Holland overseeing the proceedings.

The Tiger Band backed mayor Holland with classic patriotic songs, including The Star Spangled Banner, Battle Hymn Epic and American the Beautiful.

Veterans in the audience were recognized as Marches of the Armed Forces played.

Hi Big Gun,

I would have loved to have included photos from that portion of the concert in the gallery. However, I'm embarrassed to say that I mixed up the time that the event started with the time that the Veteran's Day Observation was scheduled to start, and didn't arrive until the last 20 minutes of the event. My apologies for not being able to provide more thorough coverage of the concert, and thank you so much for reading!

Best,
Anna
