Pediatrician Accused of Sexual Abuse No Longer Working at Hedges Clinic
Dr. Kishor Jain, of Frankfort, was arrested Friday on felony charges and has stopped seeing patients at the clinic where several women say they were groped by the doctor.
A Frankfort pediatrician arrested Friday on charges that he sexually abused five women in his office is no longer seeing patients at the clinic where the incidents are said to have taken place.

A receptionist at the Hedges Clinic in Frankfort confirmed Monday that Dr. Kishor Jain is no longer practicing medicine with Hedges.
Clinic administrators refused to comment on Jain’s departure or speak directly with Patch.
Jain is charged with 10 felony counts of criminal sexual abuse and five misdemeanor counts of battery related to a 2011 complaint and subsequent lawsuit, as well as recent accounts from four additional victims. He was charged with two counts of felony criminal sexual abuse and one count of battery for each of the five women he allegedly attacked.
The victims include Jessica Schubbe, 29, of Manteno, who sued Jain in January for allegedly groping her. Schubbe, who in the criminal complaint is identified as Jessica Greenwood, reported Jain to the Frankfort police in 2011.
After her lawsuit was publicized, the four other women came forward and contacted the police. None of the women know each other, according to special prosecutor Dave Neal.
Previously, Jain had been accused of molesting six women in his office on separate occasions over the course of several years. He has never been found guilty of any charges related to the accusations.
Jain will appear in court for a bond hearing on March 19.

I find it hard to believe these accusations about Dr.Jain. Dr.Jain was my childrens pediatrtion starting 27yrs.. ago and now my grandsons. He was nothing but professional. He was an excellant doctor that cared about every child he saw. These accusations are from women who during a visit asked him about related issues to birth and problems they had, easier than making an appointment with their OBGYN.Dr.Jain was always very professional, never made small talk about anything. Dr. Jain tried to answer any question to reassure the mother. If you've ever been to Hedges Clinic the rooms are very small and the nurses station is only 4ft. away.Dr.Jain was in and out of these rooms quickly, always had many patients to see. Dr. Jain is a dedicated doctor.

I was not there to know the truth neither were you. All I'm trying to say is its pretty crappy to make accusations that people made this up when you yourself don't know the truth . innocent till proven guilty , the courts will hopefully reveal the truth one way or another.

That's correct, none of us were there, in THAT room, at THAT exact moment. However, we've been there, some 10, 20, maybe even 30 years. We know how he operates & what his standard procedures are. I won't say what some of them are on a public message board, because that could blow some of his defense. When my kids & I were discussing this, they even said, "But Mom, that can't be true because he always......" and they gave some examples of his office procedures. If you don't go to him you will never see him through our eyes, Jamie (and others). Seriously, after basically building an almost 20 year relationship, don't you think that if he (or anyone, for that matter) was a creep, we would have picked up on it somewhere along the line?

Sandusky molested children, not "young college boys". If you have never suffered sexual abuse or been close to someone who has, your head is in the sand. Believe it. There are too many instances. You need to research how prevalent sexual abuse is, and then multiply that by 10 for all the victims too scared to tell. Sexual abuse is all around you all the time in many forms. People are outraged when they realize it happened to them, but on the other hand, not sure of what just happened to them because it is so outrageous. Believe it. I don't have to know anything more about a man that has multiple accusations against him from victims that do not even know one another. I don't care if he is a doctor or a garbage man. Done.

How many doctors at Hedges do an exam with the nurse in the room? Zero! The exam rooms are beyond small. And to say he should have left the door open, that's a violation of HIPPA. Furthermore, why didn't Jessica scream or do something while the inappropriate behavior was going on?
If someone touched me inappropriately, you bet I would put up a fight or be loud enough so someone came to my aid, especially a nurse sitting a mere 20 feet away at the nurses station. That woman RUINED a good, strike that GREAT doctor's career just to make a buck. I hope when Dr. Jain is found innocent, he uses all his resources to go after her for defamation of character and slander.

In fact Dr Jain did not see adult women,he is a pediatrition. If one of these mothers had a question Dr. Jain would try his best to answer because he cared so much for all people. These women overstepped their boundaries if they were asking inappropriate questions.Yes we are all aware of what happened 10yrs.ago.These women prey after doctors like Dr.Jain, quiet, dedicated, honest, the best pediatrition around.Trying to help women having problems breast feeding,so he helped and this is what he gets.Shame on all of you, tell the truth!!

The community has suffered a terrible blow with the loss of Dr. Jain. He is highly respected amongst medical professionals and has been praised and recognized many, many times for his devoted service to the patients of Will County. He has been my primary physician for over 25 years and has always treated me with the utmost respect. When I was a little girl, he gave me bubble gum for good behavior during visits. As an adult, he gave me samples of antibiotics, knowing I was a broke college student. During my last visit with him in December, he helped me try to think through long-term solutions to my sinus problems and discussed how my career is going. I take the loss of Dr. Jain as a personal blow to my family's well-being and cannot fathom what to do or where to go without his trustworthy service available.
I urge each of you that feel a similar sense of trust and respect for this man to express this to Hedges Clinic. I feel it is vital for the community to reach out and stand behind the man that has sacrificed everything to care for it. I will be writing my thoughts to Hedges, and am considering starting a digital petition in support of Dr. Jain. I would appreciate input from those of you that would support this idea. I'm unsure about wording for a petition as I am unsure what the community standing point is. However, I cannot stand to sit and watch as the life of a man that I revere is trashed and stamped upon.

I too, will sign anything in favor of Dr.Jain. One thing though before you (or whoever) may get this going... Did Hedges let him go, did he leave on his own, or as "Taka Guess" commented earlier this morning, has his license been suspended by the state? That's something that needs to be found out before this get off the ground. It's pretty sad when I didn't know who's name to put down on my son's emergency contact sheet, as his primary doctor. <-------All thanks to some wack-jobs who must be so dissatisified with their own lives that they felt the need to destroy somebody who's only fault was caring for/about & helping people.

Dr. Jain was on a leave of absense from the clinci starting the day after the lawsuit was filed. I know this because I called to make a follow up appointment and the nurse I know there confirmed it. Until a few days ago he was only on a leave of absence, but it wasn't his doing. From what I hear from staff, he was asked to take a leave of absence. In response to some of these women talking about Dr. Jain being a good pediatrician, I agree. I had 4 sons, and they were all seen by Dr. Jain. I had a handicap son, whom Dr. Jain seen on a regular basis, as he was hospitalized many times. I thought he was a great Doctor. HOWEVER, when I was pregnant with my now 18 year old, I had taken his brother in for a Drs. visit. Dr. Jain told me to stand up, and he felt my belly. He then proceeded to "cop a feel". I immediately sat down as it made me very uncomfortable. I then found a new pediatrician. I BELIEVE these women.

If you support the return of Dr. Jain to our community, please sign and share, share, share. It would be nice to get a fat log to send with him to the hearing.
On that note, I could use someone's help in tracking down an email address for the current "Chief of Medical Prosecution", or indeed any office linked to the medical discipline board. It appears that the current Chief of Medical Prosecution is someone named Laura Forrester.
Finally, I am absolutely open to suggestions of re-wording any parts of the petition. To be totally honest, I felt it was more important to get started than to worry about the nuances of language. Also, I'm tired.

I, like many, have the utmost respect for Dr. Jain. He has been the pediatrician for all of the kids in our family for over 20 years. He is kind, compassionate and knowledgeable and I have the utmost respect for him. If I ever had an issue with my child being ill, Dr Jain, not a nurse, would call me back almost immediately; and he would always make room on his schedule for a same day appointment if she was ill. He went above and beyond as far as service and dedication to his patients and their families. He always treated me as well as my child with the utmost respect and professionalism. He saw patients REGARDLESS of insurance type and did not discriminate based on insurance as I found out when he left the practice. Panicking, and not wanting my child to see anyone but him, I had to choose another doctor for my daughter I was asked what insurance type I had. I told them Aetna..." Oh, good", I was told.." Our other physicians cannot accomodate/ accept all of the Medicaid patients Dr. Jain saw"......So, a dedicated doctor, with 20 plus years experience, serving thousands of patients regardless of insurance type, showing kindness, compassion, thorough knowledge, dedication, and unbelievable service has now been charged with something heinous. Like so many, I cannot believe it and I will support Dr. Jain to the end.
